Designed and worked by Janet M Techniques: Making new fabric made from scraps, confetti, threadplay and fancy stitches, free motion quilted on a domestic sewing machine, beadwork.

Materials: cotton and batik fabrics, various threads, ribbons, beads, cotton batting.

Materieals: organza, embroidery floss, metal wires, moulding clay and smooth purl.

Techniques: Fabric dyeing, mosaic tiling, threadplay, free motion quilted on a domestic sewing machine. Materials: Cotton batik fabrics combined with hand-dyed fabrics, various threads, cotton batting.

Techniques: Painted background, hand embroidery, beading, applique, trapunto and sanding.

Materials: Cotton fabric, fabric paints, sea sand, Swarovski crystals, wooden beads, shells and various threads.

Technique: Canvaswork - long armed cross, norwich, van dyke, giant rococo, squared daisies, horizontal brick, byzantine, cross, diagonal fern, leaf, four way continental, diagonal triple parisian, straight, horizontal omega, triple oblong cross and plaited stitches.

Materials: 18 count mono canvas; silver leaf, cotton, silk and metallic threads; glass beads and Swarovski crystal.

Original design (46.5cm x 27cm); completed 2020
